RE: Me 262 build
The kit is a Joe Saitta kit and is 106 inch wing span. I will have two PST turbines for power, and each turbine will put out 15 pounds of thrust. The Me 262 will come in at about 40 pounds I hope to have it ready soon.

WD40,
Looks good!! I'm building it's smaller brother, the AirWorld 262 for EDF. You can read a little about it [link=http://home.stny.rr.com/mhanger/Me262.html]here[/link]. It's an interesting build, really looking forward to flying it this summer. Looking forward to more pictures of yours too!!

Tubig, Joe's 262 flies super on OS 91's and 3 bladed props! Also DF's with OS 91 VRDF's and DYNAMAX fan units...and of course turbines. I"ll attacha a pic of my 262 (Joe's prototype, that flies on OS 91's & props )
Rob
PS. These pics also give you a good idea of the size of this outrageous airplane!

RE: Me 262 build
Rob-
I just got the email from Joe about the engine size -
"ROBS PLANE WAS THE FIRST AND WAS MOSTLY ALL WOOD WEIGHED 25 POUNDS THIS ONE IS 32 POUNDS AND NEEDS 108'S. THATS WHY THE DIFFERENCE IN ENGINES
JOE"
So, it looks like I am using 1.08's in mine.
Thanks

Hey WD40 -
nice build - are you using the gear set from Joe? Also, did you use a template for the gear door ? I am opting for the glass center section on mine. Please keep the pictures coming.

The center section now comes as a pre-glassed part. Joe sells the new part for the older kits with the wood centers. All you build is the wing sections that are removed for transport! The gear mounts and wing tubes are already in place for error free alignment. Go for it!

RE: Me 262 build
A couple of years ago i bought a me 262 kit from someone on rc universe
they plane was 1/6 scale i think i not sure now. i sent the fuselage out to
someone to get a mold made of it to reproduce it
and have been waiting over 18 months now.
after seeing your photos i called the guy up and told him iwanted the plane back to
my house by next week.
I love this plane and have every book ever written on it.
Well anyway when my plane arrives i want to assemble it apaint it up
and when i have the money install the motors and equipment.
Can i stay in contact with you for some pointers along the way if you dont mind?
