Default World Models GS Zero

Anybody have experience with this kit? How do the supplied retracts hold up? What engine?

Capt.
A friend of mine had one and the retracts are weak, we replaced them with robarts, we had to open the wing up to reinforce the blocks but it was no that bad of a job. the airplane flies awsome he had a moki 1.8 in it and it was like flying a fancy looking patter ship! it landed very easy with or with out flaps the 1.8 was good all around power, there was enough there to go and chase a friends topflight GS Corsair around but normal cruise was around 1/2 throttle, and there was absolutly no tendency to snap at high or low speed....in fact i tried a hard pull up at moderate speed expecting to see a high speed snap but all it did was a wall. Its a great airplane just change the retracts.

This is generally a good built plane and flies great, but needs attention in some areas. Throw the retracts away and invest in good strong 1/5 or 1/4 scale retracts and struts. Replace all retract mounts with quality plywood. Go over fuse formers with finishing resin. Run screws into firewall if you use gas engine. A G45 will balance perfect with no weight. Pictures of mine in my gallery. Running a BME 44cc and 1.75 lbs nose weight. Paul

Yours looks great! Can you tell me what gear, struts you used? . Do you have a source for the pilot and instrument panel? Any other dos and don'ts for assembly? Thanks.
