Need a !/5th scale Pilot
I went and ordered the Blue Box pilot figure for my 1/5th scale Wildcat and it turns out to be 1/6th scale. Kinda sucks....guess I will have to build a 1/6th scale warbird. So does anyone know where I could get a full bodied WW2 Allied pilot ? I compared Lt "Doc" Miller to my Tuskegee Airman and they are the same size but definitely a higher quality figure.

RE: Need a !/5th scale Pilot
I'm not sure how important the actual scale of the pilot is when you're talking 1/5-1/6 differences. The average height of a man was probably less than the 6 footer that the BB pilots represent, in fact I'd bet that the average height was more like 5-08 to 5-09. Now, if you're modeling a particularly tall aces plane, then maybe you're out of luck.

Hey Daddy....the BBI Pilot is 12" which would put the scale pilot at 5' tall which is about 1/2 a foot shorter than me and I get no respect. I guess I could call him "Mini Me" with much attitude. If nothing comes my way I will probably use him....and some scaled down phone books with elevator shoes

RE: Need a !/5th scale Pilot
Is the pilot going into competition ?
My bloke with the P-40 is a little small considering the P-40 scale at almost 1/4. But it has the desired effect and most folks don't pick up on it unless you say something like "oh the pilot's too small"
My other Bluebox chap (No pics yet) in my TF ARC Mustang MkIII looks perfectly at home tucked away in the cockpit.
Who says there wasn't a 5' fighter jock ?
It's all about illusion man !
Oh you only have 10001 rivets ? The real plane had 10002.......

ram-bro go to http://www.daveplattmodels.com they have 1/5 scale pilots I have ask the same question on here before. Only bad thing is that you have to paint and assemble them. Top-Flite used to make a 1/5 scale pilot too, sometimes you can come across them on e-bay. I was having this same issue.
