FW 190 Fun Fighter Repair Help ??
Hi Guys,
Hope someone can give me some pointers..........................
I just got this plane second hand althou it looks like its allready been in the wars with a a few heavy landings................ Its a Cambrian Fun Fighter....... my questions are althou it seems solid i want to try to give it a bit of tlc....... it seems to be glassed thou and doesnt have normal covering..... as all my planes are artf i was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers how to repair some of the damadge shown in the pics below........
1'st is the canapy its got alot of visible white glue and its kinda cloudy.
2'nd Crack on the side of the body, its not gone all the way throu but is a bit raised.
3'rd Damadge underneath.......
Im gathering i should just sand it down and then repaint over ??? but the canopy problems doesnt seem that easy as it will be hard to find a replacement..........
Any tips or advice would be very helpful guys.. or im thinking of just sticking the engine in and putting her into the air as maybe im just being too fusy as from 20 ft away u cant notice it anyway

From the looks of it, just glue the crack together on the fusealage and go fly it. It appears that the old owner could not keep his canopy on so he tryed all kinds of glues. The clouding is possibly caused by one of the glue's, probally CA and I do not know of any way of getting rid of it, short of getting a new canopy. If the plane is glassed and painted, start sanding if you want to redo it. Like you said, can't see it from 20 ft, just fly it. Good Luck, Dave
