Thanks for posting your excellent models on this thread, Frank and Prekin.
Frank it would be nice to see your excellent models at my events at Tibenham next year.
A friend of mine is also building a Ziroli or Bates Dauntless, it should be ready for next year.
How nice would it be to have two of them in the air together.
Regards Phil G.

Frank, thanks for the kind words! Your SBD flies very well. I was suprised, that you fly on the fotball playground.
Last week I started new project. It is SBD Dauntless from by ESM. Here is the link for the thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-w...tless-esm.html

Sure you Dauntless will be superb......I have a link to 360 degree cockpit shots somewhere......will get it to you, very useful.
The footie field is within a stones throw from home, so just a case of convenience for me....We have the Rolls Royce Merlin Club within a few miles so that's also an option if I choose....

Mick,
Thanks for posting the video of your superb Sea Fury here.
I like the bits where the flaps and the arrester hook come down followed by the wheels
and the wings retract after landing. How does the expression go, If you have got it, flaunt it.
It will be nice to see you and the Sea Fury plus your other toys back at Tibenham next year.
Regards Phil G.

Hellcat,
It is a Fairy Firefly, they saw action in the Pacific during WW2.
They were a carrier based aircraft.
The model flies beautifully, really looks the part with all the ordinance on board.

Dear All
Here are some pictures of the progress on Peter Reed's Dauntless.
Hopefully it will be first footing at the Salute to the 445th Bomb Group event in July.

Larry,
A really unusual line up you have there. there, it is nice to see something different.
Thanks for posting pictures of your excellent models here.
Would it be OK if I post these pictures on my thread on the UK forum please?

Thank you Phil,
Sure thing, I find that flattering that a modeler over in the UK would want to post a photo of some low grade US models. From the short time I have spent over in Europe, it looks to me like you guys take your model building a lot more serious than us yanks do

Hi all
Phil has just told me too check out this thread and some of the great models over the pond .
Dont worry hellcat56 most people cant identify what my firefly is either its even been called a supermarine seafire estate . If it helps shes modelled on a fairey firefly fr1 of 1770 naval air squadron which took part in the raids against the tirpitz in norway and against the japanese in the pacific.
The model is 108'' span with a zdz 80 for motivation and 42lbs in weight,it also has fully functioning fairey youngmann flaps which were a nitemare to make but make all the difference when it comes to landing on small strips.
Heres a couple more pics to wet your appetite
