Brian and Bob,
Thank you for your posts.
The Lanc flypasts made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

Tibenham airfield where my events are held and where the Lanc flew over
was home to the American 445th Bomb Group during WW2 they operated
B24 Liberators.
I hold an event called Salute to the 445th Bomb Group every July at Tibenham
It is held to remember the sacrifices that Americans made so that we here in
the UK can live in freedom. We here in the UK will never forgot what those Boys
did for us.

Bomber Command
57,205 KIA
8,403 Wounded
9,838 POW

USAAF
23,805 KIA ETO
9,997 KIA NF MTO
9,299 Wounded ETO
4,428 Wounded NF MTO
26,064 ETO POW
7,350 NF MTO POW

Lest we forget

KIA Killed in Action
ETO European Theatre of Operation
NF MTO North Africa Mediterranean Theatre of Operation
POW Prisoner of War

When you see these losses it brings it home to you
the enormous sacrifices that were made in the pursuit of freedom.
These numbers do not include Fighters, ground Forces or the Pacific.

Regards Phil Goff

Dear Graham
It was lovely to see you at one of my events.
It certainly has been awhile.
Can I use any pictures that you post here on the other places please?

The P51 as usual with your work, looks fantastic.
It is absolutely made for the Salute to the 445th BG event.
Which has an American theme to it.

Thanks for posting it here.

Regards Phil G.

Carf P51D now re-engined after multiple problems
with the old one.

Ziroli P40, supposedly Nick Ziroli said that the P40
was one of the best flying of his designs. How true
that is I don't know.

My Wife's alarm has just gone off, she/we are getting ready
to watch the TV coverage of the Royal Wedding. The coverage
starts at 9:30am and the actual Wedding is due to
take place at 12:00.
The weather is beautiful. It makes a change to have something
nice on the TV. I hope they have a long and happy marriage.

Terry and Brian
Thank you very much.

Brian, Trusty Rusty the Ziroli P51 in one of the pictures
above looks to have the same scheme as in your Avatar.

Yes it does. My Avator pic was taken at the Reno Air Races a couple of years ago. Here is a bigger picture of "Lady Alice".
