Actually the real P-51s had 4 blade props. APC makes them as well as Graupner.

all the pics I see of mustangs have a 3 blade prop
That's funny because all the pictures that I've seen of the real Miss America have 4-blade prop, and all P-51D Mustangs use 4-blade prop. Please do a Google search for "P-51 Miss America".

THE P-51 was built for speed. If I were you I would get a 2 blade APC with a low diameter high pitch and a spinner to match from Tru-Turn. The 2 blades are the most efficient.

My P-51 YS110 powered currently turns an APC 14/12 at 9300.

I may try the "warbird" propeller. The APC 13/13N. What do you think Richard?

I checked the Saito website. Looks like maybe a 13/11 after break in.

Guys, I meant to say that most of the ARF pics I have seen show a 3 bladed prop on the mustang.
A 3-bladed prop would look silly on the P-51D Mustang. Plus, you will be losing some speed. If you want speed, stick with a 2-blade prop. As for spinner, any 3.5" diameter parabolic spinner would work.

I would love to see those ARF pics with 3-bladed prop on the Mustang.
