RE: show us whats pushing your p-51
the US41 that was suggested will do a very nice job. Don't be afaid of it and the rear exhaust will be much easier to deal with . You can go much larger but the bigger you go the more problems with installing it carbs and exhaust both will stick out both sides.
When flying in a gaggle later on you will find that the US41/Q42 will get the job done and you might even have to throttle back some. use a 20/8 or 20/10 will get you into the right area.

I run a BGX 3500 (inverted) in my GS WM P-51 along with a cline regulator and glow driver. Consider a 24oz tank also. Other Glow choices could be the Moki 2.10. I also run a sportscale muffler to allow the exhaust run straight out the bottom. If you do go inverted glow, get your fuel tank mounted as low as possible.

I have the US41 installed in mine with the stock muffler. DO NOT soft mount it. Hard mount it to the fire wall. I'm at around 800ft above sea level and find the Menz 18/12 prop works best for me. The 20/8 had more acceleration but flying speed was to slow. The engine needs to be turning around 7400-7600 RPM to be producing its max HP and torque.

I have a zdz 40 re and it pulls my 23 lb Jack Devine Mustang around with authority. Not sure on the rpm numbers but it is pulling a zinger 20 8-14 prop at a very nice pace. pics and video on my site.

zenoah G-45 , 22.5 pounds, robart everything, ultracote, zinger 20-8, muffler from bold by carl, pics were taken before the stacks were finished. i would suggest soft mounting the engine.
