Just finishing up the CMP Hellcat. I am still waiting on robart to send me the wheels that are on back order and have to install the pilot. Using a YS 120 for power with a graupner three bladed prop and slimline pitts muffler. Installed Sierra Giant Scale rotating retracts. Had to add 2.5 ounces in the tail for it to balance at the recommended point. Recovered it with monocote and sprayed it with flat clear lustrecote.

All I can say is WOW... that looks absolutely OUTSTANDING my friend. That's certainly the sharpest Hellcat I've seen. I too like the training scheme... you did leaps and bounds better than my redone Hellcat. If that thing flies as good as it looks It could be a daily flyer... By the way.. where did you balance it? in inches if you know... I hope to maiden mine this weekend weather allowing, I'm using a G-90 for power. Oh yeah.. and once again.. that thing looks awesome...

Had the maiden flight on the Hellcat today and what a sweet flyer she is. Fly's like a trainer in the sky. I have to say it flies better than all of my Hangar 9 warbirds. The YS 120 has plenty of power for this plane. Would fly great with a 91 size fourstroke. I had to put 6 ounces of lead in the tail and it balanced a 5". I would recommend this plane to anyone wishing to fly a warbird.
