My "old" Byron Hellcat has a Quadra 50 that runs great but just doesn't have the right stuff. Until the gear comes up, there are always some anxious moments.
So, is a G62 the way to go?
If you own one of these planes, please let me know what you would recommend.
Thanks,
Howard

Several years back,I had a Hellcat and I used a G-62 in it and had the same problems as you are having..I switched to a Sachs 3.7 and that made all the differnce in the world...I would highly recommed a 3.7,but if I were to build another one,I would install a 4.2..can't go wrong on that combo........also was using a Zinger 22-8/14 prop on the 3.7.....good luck

Howie....I have seen a number of Byrons Hellcats with a G-62 .....seemed to fly fine to me.....As I recall the Hellcat has an 87" wingspan?....If you want a "RocketShip" a 4.2 Brison or a Q-75 might be the ticket ...its a matter of performance level.....Bill
