spitfires?!
Hey there folks...my name's mike and I'm addicted to spitfires...
I really want to build the Topflite kit and I think it would be perfect for one of my magnum 91 4 strokes but right now with life I haven't got the time to devote to a project of that magnitude.
What I don't see is a lot of good 40-60 sized arfs out there and by "good" I mean sport planes that resemble the warbird.
I had back in the day a great one - the Great PLanes Spitfire 40 arf with retracts and a OS .61 SF ringed engine on the nose. Ran like a top and I flew the heck out of it. I fell victim however to old age...
Well; I'd like to get a replacement but see that the pickings in that size seem slim...anyone know of a good 40/60 size spitfire kit or arf that isn't too complicated and can make room for retracts?
I'd love it if that GP version were still out there but it'd be even better if H9 came out with one.
Pictures PLEASE!!!

RE: spitfires?!
Doesn't World Models make a .60 Spit ARF?
Then there's this:

It's bigger than what you are looking for, but what a price!

RE: spitfires?!
The WM Spit is going to come in at around 10 1/2 to 11 lbs. Might be ok at sea level but certainly not overpowered. They call it a 120 not a 60. My scratch built P-51 weighs 10 1/2 pounds and just flies scale with a Saito 91 which is a lot lighter than a Magnum.

No it is not from gold, but it is in stage just mount servos, retracts and engine an go fly.
That is all you have to do - rivets, pane lines, hinges is all done
I is like Fiber Classic (Composite ARFs) kits
And secondly you have to pay for transport to the US. By the way in GB you can buy YA Spit for about 550 pounds
I agree it is not cheap but the quality is somewhere else then on the Chinese kits
