Richard,

Do you have a photo of where you set up your retract tank for the corsair? A few months back I came across a photo of the whole retract assembly bracketed in on the top of the wing. Thanks.

Mike

I have the air tank mounted right below the turtle deck in the fuse since there is no room for it in the wing. However, I do have the variable air control valve and the mini servo to operate it in the wing where the mechanical retract servo is supposed to go. As a result, I need to connect one air line and one servo lead at the field. Will try to snap some pictures when I get home from work tonight.

Thanks. Now that she has flown, I'm thinking about making the color scheme more authentic. The plane currently wears a "what if" scheme with made up markings.

Richard,

Here are some pictures showing the 4-way variable air control valve and the mini servo in the wing. I made a plate out of 3/32" ply to hold both the valve and the servo. The plate is then bolted to the wing via wood screws and can be removed later if needed.

Decided to give the Super Corsair more accurate markings. Also airbrushed the exhaust stain on the side of the fuse. The next step is to give the dark blue checks on the cowl a lighter shade of blue.

I just got these 95° Corsair retracts from Sierra, so I will be replacing the 100° pair I currently have in the wing. The 100° retracts will be up for sale at a discount, so send me a PM if you are interested.

I replaced the dark blue squares on the cowl with lighter blue squares:
