How can I pragram the 7ch futaba heli system to my trainer plane? I bought the radio for my helicopter but now im into planes and cant afford a new radio.

Go into the parameter menu and change type from Heli1 to Acro.

Anything else I need to do to make it worthy of flying my trainer? Thanks for the help I never even knew it could do that!

You could go to the futaba site and download the manual for your radio (should have got one if you bought it new). For example here is the manual for the 7CAP.

Ive gone to the parameter and tried to change it to acro but when I leave it goes right back to heli1.

Hold down the wheel till it beeps. Thats asking if your sure. Press the wheel again for a second that tells it yes your sure.

Depends on what model radio it is. If it is a dedicated heli radio, with out mode swithing, it may not be feesable. What model is the radio?

Perhaps you didn't understand the previous question. We all know that it is a Futaba 7 channel helicopter radio, but what model number? In case you can't figure it out, Futaba has made more than one 7 channel Helicopter (AND airplane) programable (we assume your's is) radio transmitter over the years. There are some numbers and letters on the face of your radio: we nned to know what they are before anyone can help.

Ok now I get it sorry. It says pcm1024
