Default ALL COMPOSITE P-51 88" wing

Hi Guys, I have 2 yes 2 (don’t ask) All composite P-51 Mustangs. When I say all composite, I mean everything. Even the control surfaces. They have scale pneumatic retracts for the mains and mech. for the tail wheel. Comes with graphics, canopy and composite spinner. Not exact scale more of a fun scale like a Giant great planes kit. They are from Germany Airworld Modelbau. (MOKI) NEW kits. Here is my question I would like to sell them, HOW MUCH ARE THEY WORTH?
FORGET!!!!!!!!!what they stand me and the Airworld site says they go for about $1400 shippedw/the retracts ECT. So what would be a fare asking price???????? TIA!!!!!
I know nothing of warbirds! Other types of planes I would have no problem with.

$1100-$1200 would be fair for both parties.

Default Thanx F4U5

I have heard from a few people. Some interested some with opinion of price. Since I want to move them, price will be about $1000 shipped , depending on where the buyer lives. Box is HUGE! Will have to go common carrier.
THANK YOU F4 and all the others who helped out!

Default Nice site, in German?

HI Steve,
I went to a model show in Germany. I spoke with the owner of Airworld(also known as Moki). Nice nice man. Any how, the planes are nothing less than amazing! The FW-190 is the most outstanding plane I have ever seen. The PBY would make you cry.

Here is the link to the site. P-51 info is there too. Specs in metric.
The photos DO NOT! do the plane any justice. Trust me.

Default ALL COMPOSITE P-51 88" wing

Hi
How would you rate these next to the Fiberclassics, P-51 being a 10.

The 262 is nice. Good size. The prices are in $'s or what. I assume its all composite also.

Also, are these in your possesion (in US).

Thanks

steve

I only saw the FC P-51 once years ago. So I can not compare the two. The best I can say is it like a Great Planes giant P-51. The plane has some panel lines and detail. Not %100 scale. It is however a very, very nice plane. You will not find a better built composite plane, this I CAN tell you! Yes, I have them here.
The planes this company makes are ALL nice. I went to the showroom in Germany and to a model show as well. Some of the stuff would blow your mind!

Steve,
if you give Fiberclassics a ten, then the Air World Models are 12s easy, based on scale presentation, fit, finish and workmanship. In my most humblest opinion. There is a 262 here in the shop, I have seen the L-39, at $1,000.00 one would be getting a great deal, GREAT! This is based on what I have seen from the other kits, knowing what it takes to produce a kit in full composite presentation, with the landing gear also included, I would grab the thing, drop in a Moki 210, and go out and kick some major butt.

I will find out who imports them, I know that Jet Cat USA offers the L39, so I am pretty sure they would be able to get any of the others as well.

Default He is right

Hi Ray,
when I was there the L-39 (large one) was just being completed.
I was a kid in a candy store. The thing is getting them here. Big bucks for big boxes! You would have to fill a 40 footer to make it work. I was so taken with the line I asked about importing them. Between shipping and the fact they do not offer much of a discount. It could not be done. At least by me. I did take in the 100"Katana..99" SU-31 Sukoi...95" Imac Xtra 300 and the mustangs. If I could have I would have taken many more. They do not make a bad plane. Not one of them.
Some were beyond models..like art. Amazing glass work! Anyway thanx for the kind words. My best wishes! Anthony

Thanks Ray

Thanks for the info. I have heard of your work in the RC community. One day i would like to come out and see your stuff.

I agree, with retracts, they seem to be a good deal. Have to see one.

The Jet Cat Co. you mentioned, would that be Bob W. in So. Cal somewhere.

Thanks again

steve
