Default Need Some Advice

Hello all,

I am in the process of building a Top Flight Gold Edition P-51 to sell. I would like some advice as to how to ship it if I can't sell it locally? I figure it will need two containers, but what should the containers be made from? Appreciate any advice.

Well without sounding like a jerk here, Your building a plane only to sell? Your not going to get what you put into it . Also shipping, once you do it and go thru the experience, i doubt you do it again.
People look for deals. You will take a beating to unload it.

Just as an instance of how it is not realistic to build a plane for sale. I purchased an Extra 300S kit for $99.00. The ARF of the exact same model/manufacturer is $199.00, a hundred bucks more. I am not a builder from what I have found out, but even those that do it well spend weeks putting a kit togther. Those hours are completely lost when compared to the ARFs that are available for $100.00 more.

As for shipping... Shipping places like Mailboxes Etc. have these bags that go inside the box and around the item to be shipped and then they shoot some foam stuff that expands to form around the item. VERY good for shipping a plane, but expensive. I shipped a 32" TV in a box packaged like that and the box rode on a pallet from UPS.
