How much lead is needed to balance? I am running a saito 90 fs

Using an 1800ma battery way up forward with a Saito 100 I needed no additional weight.

wow I have to add a pound of lead up front . I am balancing upsidedown on the cg points. I have retracts and the air tank is in the rear fuse.

Did you keep you tail as light as possible?
Also how far back in the fuse is the air tank?

That air tank and plumbing needs to go forward some how. A pound of weight in the nose is huge. I think the therory is for every one ounce in the tail it takes 4 ounces on the nose. Move everything as far forward as possible and then try again. Good Luck, Dave

The air tank is located on the crutches shown on the plans. battery is up as far as it goes. Retracts are ahead of the cg as per plans.

I had to add a pound and half of lead to mine. Final weight was somewhere around 12 pounds. It flew rock solid and had no bad habits. That big wing can handle the weight.

I have read a number of threads indicating the same thing: takes lots of lead, but can handle it well. I'm putting a 1.20 in mine in anticipation of needed nose weight.
