Stuka Jon,
VERY nice job on the Hellcat! I have the plans and one of Laser Lizard's short kits to do one of these and I would like to use the Zenoah GT80 as you did. A few quick questions:
1) Did you have to use the short spark plugs to get the cowl to fit?
2) What muffler(s) did you use?
3) What brand of retracts did you use?
4) Is this bad boy stable in slow-speed flight or what?
Go Navy!!!! [>:]

Rudy in answer to your questions.
I used the standard lenght plugs that came on the Z 80
2 Used the stock mufflers with flex aluminum tubing to exhaust in the scale location. Needed weight up front
3 Standard Ziroli / Robart retracts.
4 very stable at slow speed. Heavy on the controls in landing. About half throttle or a little less power until oer the end of the runway. Then cutting back to idle during the flair. Landing with full flaps.
5 The prop is a handmade 22/10 3 blade made by an associate of mine. Engine rpm 5600. will try a 22/8 3 blade for a little more rpm. Will report. Having a problem uploading the photos. On dialup network and it is timing out. Will try later again. Stuka Jon N

I had to add about 2 lbs or less of lead. But keep in mind I used the stock mufflers, 2 servo,s out on ythe motor box for choke and throttle, 2 1800 mah batterys inside the motor box, and a large prop hub out in front . My recommendation, move as much as possible out front. Even my retract valve is right behind the firewall. Hope this helps. Working on gear doors now,. Jon N

Looks pretty damn good from here though.[sm=thumbup.gif]
