It will take some work, whether you make all the parts yourself, or start with some commercial parts. Dynamic Balsa sells canopy tracks that basicaly is a Plastruct I beam that slides in a slot cut in oneside of a brass rectangular tube. You would have to let the brass into the side of the fuse, and glue the top surface of the I-beam to the inside of the canopy. Study full size Corsair pix for how the tracks run. If you want to go further and make it servo operated, that will be additional complexity.

yup that is the i was thinking it will have to go on a rail or the other way is to make a small slot in the side of the fuzz with a micr servo sat in the fuzz behined the cocpit with some sort of linkage conected to the canopy so it travels up and down the small slot and as to inflight to stop the canopy lifting with the air flow i thought about a thin magnet like the ones you put on your fridge
i have done a small sketch what you think

Smokingtommy,

Take a look at the TF Group Build thread, I've posted a video and pics of what I came up with on Top Flight corsair canopy (starting on post #847). Maybe it will be of some help.

I think Corsair Jock did an extensive how-to on this is his mod thread as well. Do a search on sliding canopy with posts by him.

yup thanks just checked them out cool the reason i wanted to do this to the H9 is becauce you spend so much tine putting a nice copit in then when you put the canopy on you cant see it unless you put your nose right up to it and peek though the windows you may as well have tinted windows
