I would like to purchase a warbird from AK Models. I am sure somebody has dealt with this company already. How is the customer support?
Thanks for your input.

ARF's are from overseas manufacturers. AK also cuts some kits. I'll assume you're interested in ARF's and direct you to the Search function. You will find that AK is making an effort to provide good support.
Best wishes,

I dont have a warbird from AK but i did get the giant scale cessna 182 and i can tell you that
Alex the owner is very easy to deal with and very good in general. I recieved my plane in 2 days.
Just food for thought. Just make sure you call him first. I prefer ordering over the phone. Good luck !

I have bought several from AKM and he is top knotch. Extremely fast shipping, etc. I had a Paypal issue where someone had hacked my account and Paypal would not pay AKM until I verified tons of info, etc. Paypal held my money for over a month during this process. Alexx was patient and very nice. I had the airplane for a month before he was even payed! I recommend AKM.

I purchased a CMP AT-6 through my local hobby shop which was sourced from www.ak-models.com and have nothing but positive things to say about my plane in general and the good business practice that my LHS had with them.

Thank y'all for your comments. Great to hear that there are still small companies out there with good customer relation and product support. I definately will purchase from this guy Alex and his company.

Well, I ordered my Hellcat from AKModels on Monday and today, when I got home, a huge box was already waiting for me. Atfer opening the package I could hear me say this: "Wow!!" Not only was the original box wraped with a bigger box for added protection, everything arrived in perfect condition. How many times do we receive stuff damaged and then have to go thru trouble to get replacements. The way this parcel was packed it would have been hard to be damaged by the carrier. Back to the actual ARF: I sure was impressed how everything was wrapes in foam and plastic and packed inside the box. Not even H9 or GP packs it like CMP does. After inspecting every part, I let go of another "wow". For less than $200.00 this is amazing. The fiberglass fuse is built solid. All plywood is glued in perfectly. I coudn't find anything wrong. The wings are flat and show no warp. The hardware is maybe not top notch but certainly no garbage, either. Overall my impression is nothing but positive. I devinitely will buy another CMP ARF and when I do I certainly call AKModels.
