I really enjoyed last season. Great stuff. I wish they would intersperse more actual footage and photos with the computer generated sequences.

I just heard the commercial for it on my local rock station- its says it is having more
computer-aided graphics this season. I too would like to see some actaul combat footage- but I think we've seen about all there is to be seen before, ya know?
Pop you some microwave popcorn and kick back in your favorite chair and enjoy the show tomorrow .

This is a great show. I've seen most of the episodes of the first season. I have my PVR set to record every this show every time it airs. I can't wait for the second season.
I would really like to see some stories told by German and Japanese veterans. Pilots, gunners and turrets also need to move.

I can't wait to see that episode. What an incredible story.
Someone I fly with online at WarClouds made an awesome movie about that story.
The IL2 game was used for all flight sequences, but he's added alot of extras to make
it seem more like a hollywood production. It's a big download, but quite worth it. If
you like the show Dogfights, you'll like this too (plus control surfaces move) !
EDIT: See updated link below ....

The file has moved around to a few web locations since initial release six months ago.
I found it hosted at this link, looks like it works. Like I said, it's huge (30 min video / 350MB)
Must be a fast server though, because I downloaded it in 15 minutes.

ALSO, someone is surely bound to run into this issue:
If you play the file in windows media player and you are only getting sound, it means that
you also need to download the XVID Codec file. This is requried to view an increasing number
of video files on that are on the web these days, because they are XVID encoded. I think XVID
reduces file sizes, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it seems like a pain in the arse, but its pretty easy.
You just have to download the EXE file from this website to your desktop and then run it.
Takes about 30 seconds.

So, how did we like seeing the war from the other side tonight? I was really amazed about how the 109 pilots actually survived (or some of them I guess) after ramming our bombers. You would have thought that when they did that, there would have been a huge explosion! Anyway, I hope all who watched it enjoyed the show. And it was a full 2 hours worth to boot.Nothing wrong with that in my book!

So far my favorite episode is the recon mission of old 666. But the destroyer attack last night was something. Edge of the seat and fixated. 50 for one destroyer and didnt sink it. When the corsairs came to the rescue it was like jump up and yell time.

Anyway, This series is fabulous. They did a wonderful job on it and I watch it every time it comes on, even if I have seen it 10 times before.
Jeesh, I thought the Japs were crazy but those German pilots who resorted to ramming were pretty wacked out too.

Well,
The P-47D episode was on tonight. It opened up with the story of Robert Johnson.
Overall, it was great, except the ailerons moved in the wrong direction in many scenes.
It blows me away how they can get every detail right on the plane, but not that one.

Just think about the thousands and thousands of households watching the program who wouldn't know an aileron from a rudder.
Still,,,, sometimes the CGI graphics impress me very much as they scan the belly of a F86 or Mustang, etc. The gleam of the polished aluminum and the camera shake as they make a high speed pass right through the tv. And I'm an IL2 online player from day one. And that sim is by far the best for warbird details thanks to Oleg Maddox. (Russia)

In that P-47 Dogfight Episode, they couldn't tell the difference between a Focke 190 and a Me-109. Anybody notice that? Hmmm, I would figure the History Channel would try and be more accurate. Dis-info is a great way to re-write history... right?

I fly and make add-ons for CFS3. Or I did when I had the time a few years ago. I question Oleg's flight dynamics though... and he doesn't like people questioning it either. I helped with the new MAW, and Gallands Me-262. I'm famous with CFS1-3 because of my sound recordings etc. [&:]
