What I need to know is the size of the canopy on the Hanger 9 Hellcat. Reason, the canopy on my Jemco Hellcat cracked and I need to replace it. Bad thing about building old kits, no parts for them. Horizon will have the Hanger 9 Hellcat canopies in early Dec so I have time to find one close to the size I need. A 40 to 60 size Hellcat canopy should fit.
Thanks guys,
Larry

Just happened to be building a H-9 Hellcat.
The canopy is about 8-1/2" long (It's a F6F-3 type canopy w/ the rear windows) and about 4-3/4" at its widest point toward the front.
Without the rear windows it's about 6-1/4" long. Height is about 3-1/2" at its tallest point.
Hope that helps.

Bob Holman plans sale the canopy for the Brain Taylor Hellcat. It has a 64.5" inch wing span.

Larry, The H-9 canopy is slightly oversize to begin with (too large to be scale accurate), and given the fact that it is roughly1/8 scale, as compared to the Jemco whichis 1/9 scale(?): Iwould suggest lookingfor other alternatives.
The SkyShark ones were closer to the Jemco scale, so I would suggest trying them 1st. 2nd choice might be a Wing Mfg one, which should be about the same as the Bob Hollman but easier to get one.

Warbird Man,
Thanks for the info. Way to large for my Jemco Hellcat.
Hey Jim, How ya doing? I'm thinking of riding out to Lake Havasu and see if SkyShark might have one for me. lol That's where I plan on moving when my properties here sell. It is 45 and rain here today, 77 and dry out there. Now, if you had a Harley and some planes, where you rather be??
Was flying the Hellcat yesterday and after the first flight, had a nice landing and was taxing back when I hit a rut in the field and over it went, cracking the canopy all to heck. That is the same plane I flew the day I meant you at the Sundowners event. I'll give them a call and check Wing also and maybe somebody else might have an idea of where I can find one. Thanks guys,
Larry

Guys,
No such luck from SkyShark. They quit making those canopies for their old kits. So, if anyone might know of someone else to contact, please let me know.
