Default Which cheap Seafury to bash???

Looking to purchase either a Seagull Seafury or a Willhobby/YH models Seafury to bash into a Riff Raff air racer. Want a cheap warbird that I can overpower and throw around on club days.
Both are cheap here in Aust. $240/250 AUD
The Willhobby/YH has a glass fuse, both have retracts of sorts. Will upgrade these & reinforce any other weak areas.
Anyone had experience with these two.
Also any reasonably priced retract upgrade ideas too.
Ive nearly completed a bash on a Kyosho P40. Scaled it up by repainting it and fitted H9 P40 retracts.

Thanks in advance.

willshobby , I did one on line , nothing to scale , but I split the flaps , added CJ gear , interior , slinding canopy , counter balance in tail , exaust at engine with tubes , panel lines ect .
Fuse is good quality , my problem was that mine was supposed to be retract ready , no luck --that was major work , now they sell them for 119 plus 60 for shipping , look under e-bay /willshobby

Thanks LDM.
I will take a look at your post. I like the challenge of turning an ordinary looking ARF into something special.
Also spotted some posts on building the Willhobby FW-190 which I will follow with great interest too.

I think you will like it and at worse all you have to do is add a good set of retracts because on the new versions they have the rails in place , much better value then spending over $350 for a Thunder Tiger version

Thats good to hear LDM after the mods you had to do!
Willhobby it is, it looks much better than the Seagull.
How much did the CJ retracts set you back?
Would a 120fs be enough for a quick funfly bird or do look at larger. A saito 170 radial would be nice
Speaking of Thunder Tiger i've just bought a F-75s four stroke for my Kyosho P-40. Very impressed with the quality and it sounds fantastic after only 2 tanks.

I purchased the CJs from Tower and it ended up about 199 after rebates .
I would not go more then a Saito #125 4 stroke or a small gaser , make sure you have everything forward and you can advoid adding dead weight
