Flap linkage on TF giant P-47
Just wondering how you TF giant guys are hooking up these flap linkages. When the pushrods are made up, the servo is attached to the hatch, and the hatch set into the wing-there's almost no way to hook everything up to the flap horn. Plus the flap horn extends into the wing. If the slot in the trailing edge of the wing is cut per the instructions, there is no way to get any tools in. Do you cut the slot bigger or is there some little trick I'm missing? And then adjusting it looks like a nightmare. Any advice would be appreciated.

hhilandscraper have you tryed to put the servo arm on the rod and them put it on the servo. I'm currently building the TF giant P-47 and have got the hinges on but haven't yet put the servos in the flaps but I have mod the landing gear to except B&D retracts and so far everything is working out just fine. I have both the airtank and valve with servo in the wings only makes it easier to transporting. Will see when I'm all done with this bird. Also have the servos in the tailfeathers using the torck rod system in my bird just don't like thoses control horns sticking out there.

I agree with the ugly control horns sticking out all over the place. However, I'm ready to get this thing done. I don't like planes sitting around too long-staring at me.
As for the flap issue, there are several "theoretical" ways to hook up the linkage but I don't see how they will work. The way you are talking about may not work because there is not enough play in the linkage. If everything is hooked up to the flap horn, I don't think there is any way to put the arm on the servo. The servo/hatch setup would have to be already installed in the wing due to the lack of play in the linkage. It may work but just sacrifice some throw on the flap.
