my miss america p51
This my first warbird! i had a friend to build it for me. today was its maiden flight. it was windy today so the builder and a better pilot took it up. he said it flew better than what he thought it would. it is powered by a os 91 four stroke and a 14x6 apc pattern prop. its definately not a floater. the only fixes i can see right now are to replace the plastic clevis's and the retracts (of course). thinking of the robart 609hd for the upgrade.

I used the frank tiano arf mechanical retracts, they worked perfectly and solved my landing gear problems. Keep an eye on the tank, mine split down the seam and I ended up pumping quite a bit of fuel into the fuselage before I caught on to what was happening, I replaced it with a sullivan and that problem was solved.
Its semi symetrical and has a bit of dihedral so it flys very well for a warbird, much like a pattern plane.

i'm going try the robarts 609hd. alot cheaper than franks. this is my first low wing plane and warbird. i hope i can fly it. i really like the warbirds. it would really sux if this one don't fly good. right now its alittle nose heavy.
