Austin ARCA Warbird Flyin
If any of you guys were flying between 1 and 2:30 on Saturday, there's a good chance that I've got your picture:

I hope everyone makes it through the storms!

RE: Austin ARCA Warbird Flyin
What looked at 9:00 AM as not to good, turned out to be a gorgeous day with just enough wind and beautiful skies. Around 37 pilots signed up for the event and there was hardly a time then there wasn't anything in the air. Great event !!

RE: Austin ARCA Warbird Flyin
Thanks for the pictures.
Yes it was a nice event
Here a THANK YOU to the Austin guys for their hospitality. We came down Friday afternoon and stayed in the hotel for the night.
Breakfast at the field provided of the club Eggs, coffee and everything around a good way to start out.
The Club field is nice and well manicured plenty runway…
My propeller split at takeoff and I had to go around for an emergency landing, unfortunately I missed the runway by 2 feet and touched down in the grass. Severe rain the night before made the ground muddy and the landing gear bent beyond field repair. Just had to sit out this on…big itch!!! Hahahahaha
Nor then less we had a good time, we made some vids and pics too and post shortly the links
We will see you guys again!!!
Happy landings

BTW: Good you meet you Pete of San Antonio

Pictures and links are starting to show up on our web site. www.austinrc.org
Yep, I thought all in all it turned out pretty good. I managed to talk to Keith Coover (1/3 Fokker D7) and John Raymond (I think thats his name) with the 1/3 Sopwith Pup to do a flight demo. To me, it was the best part.
