TF P-40E early one shade top camouflage
High guys.
I am busy building TF P-40E, but to symlify camouflage and avoid
painting I prefer to use one colour scheme for the top. Preferebly dark green and either blue or cream bottom. Please advice where to find on the net examples of such camouflage and which plastic covering (monokote, ultracote, solarfilm etc.) will be most suitable colourwise.
Thanks in advance

Use Monokote flat Olive Drab for the top and flat Dove Gray for the bottom. That's correct paint for early 40's USAAC aircraft. You'll have to paint the cowling and any other plastic pieces and LustreKote paint, just happens to come in the correct colors. They are glossy tho', so you'll need some flat clear. Can't be much easier than that...

Midwest Formula U has a flat Olive Drab paint that matches monokote. Chevron Perfect Paint also will have colors in flat that will match both the olive drab and the dove gray. These are fuel proof and flat without having to use a flat clear coat.

I am starting my own P-40 and would like to use a similar scheme on mine. However where do we get this Cheveron paint? And does it need to be thinned to spray?

Check my above post...
pics are from Fighter Ace 3.5 (soon to be 3.6) which I have been playing for 5 years now (since version 1.0) and this game is a riot, it's so far beyond addicting, it should be outlawed
