Feel free to ask any questions that you might have about this hobby cause we all welcome new people and will help in any way that we can. If you can ask it I'm sure someone can answer it for you and give their $0.02 worth. But don't always take some of the comments to heart just a little fun from one big family. Welcome from Galesburg Ill.

Hey If your having fun, build it!!!!!
I know lots of people who build "complex" models but have not flown. They had fun doing it. Then buy a trainer, learn to fly, and at some point, can fly their dream plane.
Guy who built my "Big Beautiful Doll" built trains and model ships and never flew. He just loved the kit and the looks of the Mustang. That plane still flies on rails and just turned 13 yrs old.
He was also a machinist and was a perfectionist on truness and balance.
My first "kit" was the Royal Corsair 40, boy did I hear the BS and warnings from other club members about how I was going to be discouraged. I was a professional builder of model ships and felt that that kit was more within my building skills than a trainer. I am limited in my building time and wanted to build something I'd enjoy.
I believe to allow for someones determination.
Great to hear from you and welcome.

Ya, where are you? I have a friend that's been in the hobby for only a year and has yet to solo but he just finished the most gorgeous OV-10 Bronco, a Rich Uravitch design. You'd think he had been at this for many years so go for it and build that 'Stang!
