Yellow P-47
rchuey, I'm about half way finishing my Yelloe P-47. I am going to install a Taurus 3.2 for power. This is my second Yellow, the first being a Spitfire. The planes are excellent IMO. I didn't say perfect but very good. Mine is poly resin for the glass parts. I am in the process of finishing the cockpit at the moment. I put in a full cockpit with sliding canopy. Im just fininshing that part now. I think my kit which is 1 1/2 years old is the latest P47. Yellow is making their new planes in expoy resin starting with the P-47. They said they were going to convert all their kits to Epoxy.. just don't know when. I expect my plane will be plenty fast enough with a 3.2 up front. I'm using JR 8411's for the ailerons, elevator and rudder. I don't want any issues with flutter. .Hope this helps .. Bob H.

yellow aircraft p-47 question
rchueypilot:
I built one last year. It was one of the updated kits that had lead counter wieght in the leading edge of the ailerons. I used HiTech 615 servos for the ailerons and had no problems with flutter. The earlier kits had aileron flutter problems. The kit goes together pretty well. I used a Zenoah G-62 and it was more than enough to fly it scale. It is pretty fast at full throttle. The G-62 weighed enough so I did not have to use any nose weight to balance it. It weighed 24 pounds. I sold it and wish that I had not. I will build another one soon.
