Default Correct shaped spinner for a Spit?

anyone know who makes a correct shaped 3 blade spinner for a Spitfire?
Needs to have a 2 3/4" face

before you say it, I know most Spits didn't use 3 blade props but that's what I have to use

Depending on what variant,

Spitfires, sported 2, 3, 4, 5, & a 6 blade which was actually a contra rotating prop

I may be wrong, but i think that the majority of the Spitfires produced had a 3 blade prop

Only the later marks had 4 blade.

And the number of blades only suggests the right spinner shape.

Spits changed a bunch when the version changed because of the engine. The later versions entire fronts changed and the spinner shape was only a part of it.

The earlier Mks used a shorter, less streamlined spinner. Their "pudgy" look is easy to spot on the mks used in the desert. And most of the early mks are more easily identified by their exhausts. They have 3 each side.

If you plan to do a Spit that had 3 collector pipes each side, you'll want a shorter spinner. You can make a generalization that as the power went up, the spinner got longer and more pointed. Problem is that there doesn't seem to be a guaranteed pattern. Some of the earlier Photo Recons had 3 pipes and pointy spinners.

I'm assembling a H9 60 size Spit, and they don't even mention the spinner size, much less which one to buy. But it takes a 3-1/2" and somebody (maybe Horizon?) suggests using the P51 parabolic spinner. At least that's the only one I've found that fits the width spec.

BTW, in looking (again) for a better shaped spinner for my Spit, I just ran through all the spinner brands one can actually purchase.

For my Spit, right now, the only one available is a P-51 parabolic. Nobody even lists anything different in the size that fits.

It ain't an easy quest.

thanks da Rock.
I'm putting together the BH Models Spit. Tried to find a Hangar 9 but they're out of stock for a month. To my surprise when I inventoried the box I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the BH. It'd be interesting to compare each others as we put them together.
One thing I'd bet,I'm sure your instruction manual is better than mine lol

Mine has the six collectors on each side. Also has the raised sections above the exhaust of the later versions. It's really stand off scale as the collectors point down and slightly back. So I guess I should be looking for more of a pointed shape then. Not that the rest of the plane is exactly true to scale, but if I can make it at least look a little more scale I'd like to

Other than Tru Turn, you know who might make a 3 blade spinner along those lines?
Want to use aluminum. Maxx products makes some decent looking ones at a reasonable price but don't have a 2 3/4" version in 3 blade.

Dave Brown has good aluminum spinners. I have used his parabolic spinners on my mustangs for over 5 years with no problems. he will make a special cut spinner for you if you ask him. He made me a spinner cut for a 4 blade APC prop for not much extra - a few bucks i think.

I have a Dave Brown Parabolic spinner on my Richmodel 120 P-51 and it looks great. I have a Kyosho Spitfire 90 and plan to order a Dave Brown spinner for it too.
