Nosen 51 plug in wing
Has anyone modified their wing to be a two piece / plug in wing for the Bud Nosen P-51? Just bought the kit, came with Like Line retracts Aluminum spinner and canopy. Would prefer two 51 inch wing halfs over one 102 inch span!
thanks

Nosen 51 plug in wing
I built mine with a three piece wing. I have a center section including the retracts and flaps, then two outboard panels. This way I can assemble the model and check out the systems and then roll her into the trailer on her wheels. When I get to the field I just install the outer wing panels and go fly. Before skinning the wings I added two more ribs at the break point and used two aluminum blade spars like that used in Byron Originals models in each panel and anti-rotation pins. It has worked like a charm.

new P-51
I just bought a Nosen P-51 and at the present all I have is "the sticks". I hope to start it early September as I'm finishing my TF Corsair 1st. I need some help finding a source for the plastic parts; canopy, cowl etc. I also have started searching for a link or contact info for "Lyke Line" retracts and haven't been able to find it. Can one of you guys whose ahead of me give a little help?
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

I have a set for the Nosen P51, including the tail wheel, and they are mighty impressive.
