AT6 - just be patient...
Here are the pictures
There is a simple rule - as straighter you build the airframe as straighter and precise (on top faster) the airplane will be. Better checking twice and adjusting if necessary. To get the outer wings with the center 100% lined up is a little tricky.
After I place the mounting blocks - using a new method - the center and the wing get sheeted on top all at once, then cut and separated. The wing tubes will be glued in with a special epoxy. This will be the next picture trail...

RE: G-Pete's Ziroli P-38J Lightning build
hello G-Pete."GRAZIE" THANKS for the answer !.... today I tried to see what would be the best way to implement the mechanism below you will find two photos of my plane .. I hope that you could be helpful ... I could know what would be exactly position of the mechanism ??... I had thought of cutting the first and last ordered to replace it with a more 'long and thick of plywood so that you can use your system ....

OK AT-6, I see your problem (s), your cylinder seems to be to small for the stroke needed. You need a 2 inch stoke which is in your world 50.8 millimeter. You need to make space for the flap - you have to build the flap or use a balsa stock triangle about 0.75" by 2".
My intention was here to build a prototype and build another wing part. Then try the the flap mechanism out and post here the results. As I mentioned in the PM my laser guy has to take take right now of his family and has no mind for laser cutting parts - so I don't bug him.
I can tell you the setup works in theory - but it has to be tested.
Here some pictures of my drawings step by step in 2D.

...now I have to back into the shop a Lightning is waiting

Many thanks Pete ... and that this is a Christmas gift !!!.... regarding the mechanism there are no problems if they build me and the text, once it goes well, you do not remain just build it and mount it!.

the idea was to use the servants with a load exceeding 10.5 kg...
but frankly the fact that radio and servants not understand that much!

The Flap servos will be the Hitec HS-7966HB this one has also a overload feature - if there is too much load (like the flap binds) - the servo idles and do not drain your battery. My laser guy is still not available and I do not bug him. So right now I build on the support vehicle and the .50 cal. plus ammunition. The plug for the cockpit is done and soon we will vacuum form that RO cockpit.
Happy landings

hi G- Pete. The mechanism works very well but the problem lies in the angle of that flap and angled too little and thus in the case of landing risks that the plane be Jun 'too fast !!... see photos attached!
