Tony - I'd like to go ahead and buy an exhaust for a Nosen 102 inch P-51, and I went to your website and can't get to sending you an email order. When I select the "click here" to send you an email order, it forces you to configure outlook to send you an email, and I don't use outlook, and nowhere can I find your email address to send the order. What do I need to do?

Bert this is George, I don't know how offten Tony checks out this post, the best thing is to go to the top and click buy sell, classified, and look under Warbirds, he has a add now for the exhaust which you can click on and get it taken care of.

You will have to send an email...with your request...
Tony should get back to you soon..

I sent him one this morning .............no answer yet.

Comcast is saying that he is signed onto a one way digital device and may not be getting emails.. what ever that means.

Bert - sorry about that. I took my email address off the site when I got hit with a deluge of spam mail a about a year ago. Over 200 hundred got in before I got it under control. That in turn caused Comcast to stop all my email. A real PITA.

I was offline all day and just got back - guess that is what the Comcast message was trying to say. I'm subscribed to this thread so I saw these posts when I went back online.

I do have a kit in stock for your Mustang. Email me and I'll send you all the information.

Thanks.

Awesome george! How far were your flaps coming down on landing? You didn't use them on takeoff? Here are three pics of where I am now. I'm having a problem with my robart retract system - I can't seem to add much air pressure to the system. I hook my air compressor up to the chuck, and the valve stem is so far down inside, it doesn't really compress much, so not much air can get in, I've tried several attachments. I even bought the tool from Autozone that you use to have the stem screw back out, but then air escapes. Problem with a bike pump is you can't get much air in. I've gotten my wings to retract but never my tail retract.

Bert,

Your bird looks really nice with that silver scheme. Is it paint or foil?

Sven - it's ultracote Chrome. I tried to fiberglass, but was too inept at it. Plus, the guys in my club warned me that for future repairs, it's much easier with Balsa/ply and ultracote!

Bert. I think I have about 35-40 degree flaps when I land. as for air pump I use one I bought at a bike shop, a few pumps and I have about 90-95 pounds in the air tank, I worked a peice of air tubing on to the pump and a Robart brass filler, on the plane I use a robart valve, I get no leaks on this set up and no problems, George.

George - this really helps - I appreciate it! I have that brass fitting, but didn't know what it was for - when I called today, what he explained to do was similar to what you have here. I'll go give it a try now.

Bert

PS. What is that rigging you have where the needle meets the tubing? Am I to assume it's to keep the tubing from blowing off the needle?

I have the brass fitting on one end of the red tubing and the other end I have a volleyball fill addapter which the tubing slips on to, so the volley ball adapter hooks to the 1/4 inch air pump hose.

George,

After trying to get to work on Sunday (couldn't get in) I quickly drove over to the "Selfridge Air National Guard Base" in Detroit and enjoyed some planes and the "liquid sunshine" there. Maybe I find some time else to stop by and say hello.

Another video on my P-51B Old Crow mustang, I well get the P-51D in the air as soon as I can locate another Quadra 100M engine to put into it. I tried the first landing attempt without flaps it was just a little to hot so I went around and dropped some flap for the next landing which come in ok, George.

Geo and Rich,

Hi ! Am staying subscribed so I can keep up with you two. Thanks for the video's of the insanity going on at your Air Show.... Some Awesome planes there. BTW: I just checked out Balsa USA's P-51 but it ended up as a 1/6th size. at 75 in WSpan. Don't know how scale it maybe either.

Another (New to Me Item) I ran into at Hobby Lobby Craft Store is the Alumilite Resin Casting Kits.... I can see lots of uses for this item.... WOW !! www.alumilite.com/

Keep me posted on the paint situation.... I have heard that Lowe's just may have a similar product, but haven't checked it out yet. Will also drop by Home Depot some time soon and see if they may have a dust covered jar or two hidden away.

Dare to Build and Take Some Pride in Your Ride !
