Hey Guys ! Well, I got the pilot in and the latest spinner I got from Tomas installed. What do you think of the yellow ? My dad & I love it. Thanks so much Tomas for all the help [sm=thumbup.gif] I got the pilot in using silicone adhesive & need to wait overnight for it to fully cure. Callie over at Callie Graphics had received my graphics order yesterday & should be done sometime this week. I do want to say thank you to some people. Thank You - dad, w/o you I don't know where'd I'd be at this point ; Barry (NCIS, Gibbs) thank you so much for your excellent painting job ; Tomas thanks so much for the offers & help you have given me, its very much appreciated ; and to all the people on here for the advice, compliments, or tips. Once theirs a break in this rainy weather I will try my best to get er out to the field & at least range test/run up, if not fly er. Heres some pics. Enjoy !

looks sweet the yellow spinner certainly makes it stand out, bet you cant wait to get it down the field and to perform engine runs and range chacks, then its the big one the maiden, if its set up properly dont fret it, wil there be a video of the flight

If it flies as well as my VQ Hurricane and my friends VQ Ki-61 Tony, you will be very pleased with it.

Good luck. Oh, and Russian a/c look great with Yellow spinners!!!

At first I didn't think I'd like the yellow. But, I LOVE the yellow now. I agree Russians look good w/ red & yellow spinners. I think those were the main colors used anyway. I'm sure this thing will fly just fine. I've heard VQ's fly real good.

Allison, you'll have to wade through a few pages - but there are some great Mig-3 photos on this thread:

http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...g-3-build.html

Bear in mind that he's building a much bigger plane (1/4 scale) from a kit - not an ARF by any means

(I forgot about the nagmommy software, put flyingNO SPACEgiantsDOTcom into the url)

Right now its not too bad, warm but VERY windy [:@] That 75 sounds so nice right now. I don't think my dad would go for that. Might be going somewhere interesting for Spring Break, hopefully somewhere with a nice field I really thought that winter was gone, dang it [:'(]On the plus side w/ all of this weather, I did get some good work done on my 4* .40 I recently got. Just turned on the good ole' radio & got to work ! All of you guys from warm states are making me so jealous, warm weather & flying year round, you lucky ducks [sm=regular_smile.gif]

It always happens like that doesn't it. Its a beautiful flying day and either your repairing or ones not complete. Or vice versa, something is complete & ready to go but, not a good flying day. This hobby will drive you crazy [sm=bananahead.gif]

No, unfortunately not. My dad thinks I should wait for a bit further into the season when my fingers are back again. For me its a shaky start to the season considering I crashed my Phoenix Dolphin [:@] I would love to get er maidened, but, I think my dads right. How does this plane fly ? Any planes that its similar to based on flight characteristics ? I've heard that warbirds are very hard to fly. Yet, again it has a sport wing. [sm=confused.gif] I think I'm confusing myself Like I said before, you guys will be updated. When the maiden does happen I will take pics & let you guys know first thing. Good Luck w/ your Mig !!!

Allison,

Our "giant scale" Yak-3 finished it's taxi tests and is ready for her maiden flight soon. Gotta love those yellow spinners on Russian aircraft!!! It was in the 90's in the early part of the week.
