MarvinLoomis,

How is the project coming? Thanks again for all of the help with our questions. All of the answers helped me and my build friend RPRCBuilder select the 101" B-25. I placed the order and received the plans today.

I see you got the plans! I think you'll like the plans and the plane. Here's some pics of the cowls with the Clayton stacks on them and the G38 mounted in the cowl. The dummy radial engine sure makes it look good!

I'm working on rebuilding one this winter. It had a rough meeting with a flightline pole at Warbirds over the Rockies. Was my friends plane then. He's working on a larger project so I made a deal with him on it and I'm going to repair it for next year.

It looks rougher then it is but I started cutting out some formers tonight and I plan to have another friend help me get the fuse re-aligned and together tomorrow.

MarvinLoomis,

Keep me posted on the Weight and Balance CG with the 38's on it. Have you ever seen one fly with 26cc engines? Wondering if it has enough power. I have one Evolution 26cc flying on a Dave Platt T-28 and it pulls it pretty good.

Looks good.

Vintauri,

What a hit it must have been. Glad to see you putting her back together. Say looks to me like you could have it ready fore WARBIRDS OVER OKLAHOMA 2010. Sure would be nice to see you and MarvinLoomis making bombing runs.

MarvinLoomis,

How is your project coming?

Do you have a material list for the B-25? I received the plans and the instruction sheets, but no material list.

Thanks

When and where is WARBIRDS OVER OKLAHOMA, 2010?

Is it an event worth pulling a trailer 1,300 miles round trip?

(My favorite uncle lives near Chickasha.)

kram,

Warbirds Over Oklahoma is a war bird event I started 6 years ago if you count the year of planning prior to the first event held at my local club field, Westside RC Flyers, Yukon Oklahoma in May of 2005. It has grown each year to the point where I had to move it to a new location, the City of El Reno Regional Aiport to allow the event to expand. This location is about thirty minuets North of Chickasha. Last year we had 65 pilots registered to fly and it was only a one day event. This year, who knows with a three day event.

Hope to see you here.

Sorry I don't have a material list, I bought this project partially completed. Major construction was completed. Wish I could help.

Time to bring this thread back to the front of this list!! Hey Warbirdrcer you still droppin in here. Been awhile since I've had anything new to add, but have made some progress on the bird, here's some pictures. Don't know how the rivets one will show up, but would like to have some honest opinions on how they look.

Here's some more rivet pics. Pretty well finished with the flush rivets, started on the mushroom heads. This is my first time for rivets would like some feedback on them. "They suck" or "looks good" let me hear from ya, I got thick skin, I can take it! lol

Its more or less a memorial. Fellow flying buddy had a brother-in-law that was killed in WWII when the B25 he was in went down. It was "Seabiscuit". Was just the olive drab color, part of the 345th Bomb squadron I believe. Tail number 6023. Here is the tail art.
