p-40 help

Default p-40 help

i'm looking to buy a p-40 E... and i was wondering why if real p-40 has a wing of 37 ft 4 in and a fuse length of 33 ft 4 in why is all the kits i see have so much bigger wings like some of the kits will say no names..... one is 82 in. wing and 63 in. fuse or 86 in. wing and 73 in fuse.... or 94 in. wing and 77 in. fuse can anyone help with this thanks .........wayne

The bigger wing results in lower wing loading making a better flying model without destroying the look of the airplane to much.

thanks dave.... i am looking for a good 50 cc class p-40 what would be one of the better kit i have seen an all wof kit but i don't know much about them and never built one before any help on that would be great thanks .....wayne

thanks guys..........charles the Skyshark in a nice plane but i just don't like the p-40 n that much i like the p-40 b/c and e/d more but that still is a nice plane tho thanks..............77 chicenhawk the yellow is a nice looking plane but i have not found a price on that kit yet.....do you have a yellow and can you plz tell me how it flyies and how it builds thanks ......wayne

i payed 1371.00 shipped with everything but their bust cockpit kit. ( i put a full one in.)

its not done yet but there are a few guys that fly them one here. im sure one of them will coment soon enough. but no one has said anything negative about the way it flys.. as far as a build is concerned. its my first one and putting aside all the scale bashing the kit builds great. i will gladdly build another yellow and i would recomend it.

I have built and flown 2 Yellow Aircraft P-40 kits. They can both be found in my gallery here on RCU. I thought they were fun to build. And they flew just like a warbird should. Not light and fluffy like a trainer. It flies sort of "heavy", but not at all unstable. Again... like a warbird should IMO. And the people I delt with at Yellow were TOP NOTCH. Just my 2 cents worth.
