Default New Pics of Pearl Harbor

Just got an e-mail with pictures of Pearl Harbor December 7th 1941. There is also a picture of a shredded Catalina

The story is, the pictures were on a Brownie Camera. This camera was stored in a food locker and just recently taken to developed. These photos are from a sailor who was on the USS Quapaw ATF-110

Some amazing discovery...

Pete, thats a great historical find. Thanks for sharing. The one pic that has a plane flying in the background, I couldnt make it out what it was, but wonder if it was one of ours or theirs? Just curious .
Thanks again,[sm=thumbup.gif]

Yeah, we get bit every once in awhile.

And not only have the pictures been around awhile, but snopes.com article explains the problems with the "fable". And there are a few.

Yes, this myth has landed in my in-box a few times over the past few years. Though the camera-footlocker story is silly, the photos are still authentic and I always enjoy looking at them. G-Pete, if this is your worst mistake in a Warbird forum, then you're doing well. (and from sTp, good luck to the Allen Eagles)

They are still great pictures that keep us remembering that day in our history.

Thanks

Sorry guys I was not trying to point out a "mistake", Just clarifying and hoping everyone could see the rest of the pics. I have been to Pearl and the time spent on the overlook of the Arizona was a somber and humbling experiance.
