My buddy has one of these. For the most part it looks good. Except that gaping wound of a tail wheel bay...

Ya, so far that is the only area that I can see that needs some added TLC to scale up abit. I plan on putting an AXI up frount, and designing some scale retracts for it, hopefully I can clean up that tail area then. How does he like his, and how does he fly it?

I never liked the color around the nose. The nose area is always an area of contention with the TA 152. Also, the price is very high for 1\12 scale. This aircraft flies very well in this size though. I have had around 8 of them scratch built for combat.

agreed, alittle pricey(600$), but I could'nt find anything on the market that comes close in this size. I plan on repainting in a more scale like pattern using correct warbird paints.

Wait SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS? For that?

Thats insanity. Thats half the price of a SiST 1/5th scale plane.

Forget it. Its a total and utter rip off.

Well lets just say that for me it was'nt about money, but I did get exactly what I wanted from the kit. A SisT(like) smaller plane that I can fly at the park, or on my property, go electric with, not have to spend 6 months to build,(needing more workspace), oh yeah, and I have a 6 week old boy, and a 22 month old little girl, so time is tight also. The SisT D-9 is actually my next project and I'm picking it up later this year from Germany, when we visit family in Vienna.

overpriced, perhaps....
quality piece for the money......I'll give you my honest opinion on Wednesday when it shows, promise.
insanity....well, I've always thought that perhaps that had alot to do with ones perception lol, but probably.

that will be the word that I would use, as well as others if it makes a smoking hole lol.

its flown as a PSS mostly as I understand(flys quite well as I'm told too), I am wanting a kit that I can "bash up" abit and make a nice electric on a smaller scale with. The site says that building time is one evening...we'll see!

Two kids have cut deeply into the amount of time that I can spend to end up with what I want I guess lol.

here are a couple pics I found so far on this plane, and some info on the exact plane they chose to scale it from for their scheme.

Ta.152H-1
Unit: Stab/JG 301
Serial: 9 (W.Nr.150168)
Pilot - Obfw. Willi Reschke. Neustadt-Glewe/Alemanha, April-May 1945. Camouflage: RLM82/81. Color stripes show the Reich Defence. In the end of war this aircraft was captured by British at Leck and later transported to UK

later destroyed in UK 1946.

ah this would'nt be the one your talking of behind my daughter there would it lol..... by the way, it is a nice looking and flying kit for foam!

money is not an issue....being able to play they way you want with two kids....priceless.

I'm an avid builder, held an A&P license, I just don't have the time to devote to my hobby like before so I'm having to dabble in what others build now, and play when I can!

As I said, my buddy has one. The engine mounting is going to be a bit of an issue as is the battery space... there isn't a lot of easy room in the fuse...

My family own's a good deal of the small Mountain range in the distance(Sutter Buttes), beyond the huge park across the street(nice place to fly the BF 109). I actually want to fly this as a powered slope soarer/park flyer. There is a great spot for me to launch from and a great asphalt roadway(private)to land on. So I'm thinking of a small AXI and I'll go from there. From what I understand guys are flying it with 22 series AXI motors and have plenty of power. I have an AXI 2820/10 nib, once again...we will see when the box arrives!

"I got one shoe horn, a pile of micro digital electronics, and some vasiline if needed lol.

Here's the same one from Esprit models. I have 2 of them, one electric and one glow. They are great flyers and extremely fast. I hand launch both of them.
[link=http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=5922]TA152[/link]
Im using the Hacker A30-10L and it is blistering fast.
I think mine was around $550 with the motor and speed controller.

hey Glasor good luck with your plane and no one is critisizing your taiste , we just tend to spend and try to save everyone elses money on RCU , so just consider our comments on cost a friendly rcu "hey you can get more for the money beer chat "

I know the deal with time and kids , I sidelined my rc totally while raiseing my two boys (now 15 and 18 ) coached them a ton in all sports and even had them building models .
I am back in RC now and still loveing to bash arfs and soon build my Platt D9

again good luck and post some pics when the plane arrives

No offence taken my friends, I guess I'm trying to justifiy it to myself some too. I grew up with little, but find my self being blessed enough to be retired at 42 from the glaziers union, newly married(3 years now) with 2 beautiful kids, and being finacially stable. My wife spoils me to be honest with you, and is very supportive of my hobby(one and only vice left now lol), and believe me, I know how lucky I am.

Thats her on the left just 4 weeks after giving birth to our son Sawyer!

I LOVE MY WIFE !!!

parkzone bnf BF 109= 249.00$
ducted fans Ta 152 composite 599.99$

let me point out that while half as much....the 109 is foam.

so....

pricey....maybe....

but some people think thats alot to spend on foam too. lol

Its listed at 1020.99 on ductedfans.com now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does that come with motor, esc, battery and a 9303? $289 at Esprit is reasonable for a full comp plane.

I'm not in, but...

If you could get a group together and get several stuffed in a box for shipping from The U.K., you could get one of the small kits.

Forget it. Sorry nothing that small is worth that kind of money.

Glad you are happy with it. Thankfully my buddy got his for less than 200 bucks on Ebay, brand new in the box.
