Hey Ghost,
Good to see that your still up to no good with warbirds!
Here you go, 80" span from a local source
http://www.airbornemagazine.com.au/planHome.htm
Page 5, plan number 620.
When i saw the post i tried to remember where i had seen one of these as a model. Back in my old club in Melbourne, one of the members there was quite the avid scale modeller, by the name of Rod Mitchell. Anyways, he used to design quite a few of the Airbourne plans and he had a P-82. so a quick seach and bingo! there you have it. He also designed the B-25 and i have vivid recollections as a youngster watching him half fill one tank on the mitchell and once that engine cut out in flight, doing some tight aeros and beat-ups of the field on the remaining engine!!!
Thanks
dave

RE: P/F - 82 Twin Mustang
I am in the process of building a F-82 also. It is 2 TF p51 highly modified to become the F-82. The fuse was stretched, wing modified and the horizoontal stab redesigned. I will post pics later on of the progress. The plans were modified by a buddy of mine, I then bought the plans and kits. Should be an interesting plane when all is said and done. I plan on powering her with os 90s with retracts all around. I considered electrics.....but the cost is prohibitive. What cha guys think?

Aerowoof, I was given Ken's email address before slightly different(didn't work) will try yours.
51D-Guy, have looked at that one only it is too big and the postage would kill me to get it here.
Ram-Bro, What is the W/Span?

Ram-Bro, in your picture you show some of the all weather/ night fighter versions. The Radar pod was in the center and elongated to get the radar in front of the propellers (static). We have a mold for a 2.5 by 12 inch radar pot and I have some leftover halves. Let me know if you want them (only when you go for the night version).

RE: P/F - 82 Twin Mustang
At-6 Thanks, Am waiting for the plans to arrive(101" span) they have to travel over the lake from the US to me. I found one locally (68" span), but will take a couple of days to get here. Will wait for plans to arrive before any further decissions are made.
I am looking for the build info from Flying Models Mag 7/89 on the F-82 twin mustang in that issue by Dan Reiss. I will be greatful for any help. They dont list back issues that far back.
Thanks everyone for the help.
Cheers

AT-6, I agree with what you are saying about the differences between the P51 and F-82. The fuse has been stretched in th erear. The front wont be changed but the wing has been modified also. This is strictly a standoff scale project....aybe even a proof of concept. I think in one of my pics you can see the difference and changes on the fuse

RE: P/F - 82 Twin Mustang
Hi All, the plans arrived today, they are very detailed, and a lot of other info with it as well. The wing is in one piece[], will need to be redesigned so the outer panels are removiable, The stab/elevator is removiable, but I will build it in as the two fuses will be joined by the wing center section. Will have to wait another week as I have my daughter here at the moment for the school holidays. Will post some pics of the plans later.
Cheers
