Default Landing gear door - p47

I have to install the inner gear doors on a TF p-47 (not the giant scale).

I'd use a torsion spring to open the door using a torsion spring.
I found this web site:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#torsion-springs/=3xibq0

but I cannot feel the details about wire diameter and torque.
can someone subbest a solution?

many thanks

Alessandro

I have made my own springs for inner gear doors out of very thin music wire. just wind it about four turns and run the hinge pin through the center of the spring. You can make quite a few with one piece of music wire. They don't need much force to pull them down as you are working with gravity.

Dave
