I need to find this WarBird Kit or ARF...Please Help!
Okay,
I am a general all around plane nut, look over my profile.......4 years doing this, done good from what I can see.....I like to go slow (Cesna type or Cub) I like to go fast (My Don's Flying Machine does that well)...I love Jets, I am really trying to learn my best skills with the edges and extras and I have up to a 50CC TOC Yak......
Now I am looking for my warbird.....I hope to get away with 20cc to 30cc Gas.....I hate big bore Nitro......But if I have to go another 50CC so be it, I'll use a DLE or something.....I am OK with small bore gas, Like a Saito 20cc or one of these new 17CC gas, just has to be rear carb....
SO I decided on this AT-6 Texan as my War bird......it was down to that or a T-34 Mentor and I like the tail dragger and the AT-6 seems like a "Meaner" looking trainer. If I wanted real mean I would have selected a Skyraider..[>:]...that was my "Runner Up" as war birds go.....so to summarize.....I NEED to find a kit, plans, ARF, RTF, whatever.......at least 90 Size.....prefer 15% to 20%......will go as high as 30% and 50CC.......real detail is good, scale is what we are looking for here.....not a cheap ARF that uses an O/S .91......I may have to settle here, but I saw this ad and knew there were other options out there, I just need to find them.....
Here is the best example of what I am looking for in this shot from the AMA magazine add for Sprot Aviator on line.....
So Helpme out and let me know what you see out there, post phones, links, emails, whatever..........I just need to find a Texan and get going......I am either going with the red scheme shown or the blue scheme shown, which is a dis-continued Hangar 9 ARF......
Speaking of the Hangar 9 ARF.....any one know of a place where it is in stock? I doubt it, seems like it has been out a while.......
Thanks again for all your help in advance!!

Top Flite has one that flies well. The Hangar 9 one was ok but people I know who had them said they were a handful to fly (these guys are warbird addicts so they know how to fly them). One of them sold his H9 one to get a Top Flite one and has been very happy with the switch. The Red and White one is from Hobby Lobby. They sell it as an electric but out of the box it's set up for gas. It's a little smaller than the H9 and Top Flite. It's more of a large .46 size whereas the H9 and TF are .60 size.

Oh yeah. Horizon Hobby sells one from Seagull (really nice planes but full line very rare in US). It's silver:

I have a few of the other seagull planes and they build really easily and very high quality and they all fly well.

Mustang Ace Nailed it!
Hobby Lobby North American Harvard AT-6.....I never would have guessed....AND Ram-bro nailed it with another verson....looks like a world models type vendor but same red/white scheme.....and only a hundred....I may have to pull the trigger on that.
Aesome job guys, I never though I could track that plane down so fast......
Now to see if I can find a larger one, even in KIT.....I prefer a kit rather than plans only.....and hopefully large enough for gas.....
Sad to hear the H9 version was a handfull in the air, but alot of warbirds are, for sure....
Thanks for the help. Might have to get a hobby lobby or that hundred dollar smaller glow version just to have one......looks good and reminds me of the chipmonk with that red/white scheme...[8D]

Don't care for the silver and I too am a big fan of Seagull.....have had 2 or 3 edge 540's and now have a .75 sized Edge from them in blue......love them all but the At-6 seemed a little over priced at like three hundred......I need red/white and not looking at 3 bills for a large .40 sized arf.....not unless it comes built for me

Now check this out....I found Yellow has a kit....
Now this is looking scale....it does use a bit larger engine than I had hoped for, built around the G-62.....I wounder if a DLE-55 would work well?
I may have to settle in for a $700 glow project, although I was hopeing for larger, .90 size......but man, If I could afford the kit, this is looking awesome....
I will get a quote from my local builder and let everyone know what way I am going......
