From what I can rembember DAVE PLATT probably designed the most accurate Zero. You can still purchase the fibergflass parts, and canopy and some other parts plus plans and have a kit cut from pck. Other then his I would say Yellow aircraft which was designed by Burt Baker some years ago.

good luck

Hello Zero, Here are a few new pics of the Dave Platt Zero that I am currently repainting. I think a more detailed cowl would be nice on the Platt Zero. I you want gun ports you have to do these mods yourself. I am working on these as I go. I will post more on my thread, Dave Platt Zero Makeover, I have both the Bert Baker and Dave Platt, I do'nt think you can beat either one of them. Capt. Winters

Platt A6M zero.

I believe it is a winner of some scale competition in the 80's.

The Platt Zero had the best outline. This was followed by the Bert Baker kit which is now the Yellow kit. Back when these were done, the outline was there, you had to make the rest.

I agree that the Platt has the best outline but Zero said in the original post he was looking for a kit or ARF that is still readily available for purchase. Platt no longer makes kits, just plans and parts, thus my vote was for the Yellow kit.

Thanks for chiming in Chad , and yes I agree with you as well and voted the same way for the same reason , all of the choices listed above have there plus and minus, part of the reason I did this was to see what you all thought and why , this feedback is great ! keep it coming guys
