More like, put some good reliable servos in it. When one of these ''knockoff'' fails and drain your battery in a few minutes....

....you have 30 pound 50cc missile - aiming (when you lucky) to the ground and not into bystanders. American bystanders...

Nice to know that the rest of the world is expendable!!

Thanks

dave

Nah Dave - you got that wrong. What I meant was, the Chinese manufactures are not that safety oriented. They care less if someone gets hurt about sloppy work. They but lead in everything and know exactly how harmful that is - just for an example. They don't have a reputation to loose like JR Futaba or Hitec. If the word gets out the Shongwondowidowmayeds servo is bad - next week is a new company formed (just change name) and the Hidongaseames goes on sell.

No, nobody is expendable!

You know if you all would of read my first post I only asked if the 635's would work and I stated please don't list other servo's. I heard from the first two replies that the 635's were bad news. Thats all I was asking for. Not everybody telling me what to use. I have decided to use 5645's or 645MG servos all around except fot the rudder which I already have a 5645 for. I'm not new at this. I just didn't know much about the experiences people had with the 635 servos. Now can't that be enough said. The question was answered and the answer was no don't use 635's. So with that being said I will not use them or a cheap knock off. I only asked what you thought about them too. I didn't ask to be bombarded with crap and about my pocketbook.

Barry

Also per Pete's suggestion on safety I have decided to go with a seperate servo for each elevator. I had already planned on that for the ailerons and flaps.

With an attitude like that I would suggest that NO ONE reply to any of your inquires in any manner, in order not to possibly offend your sensibilities.

Jees Barry. Guys just want to help. Yes, sometimes you get more than you ask for, but what is the harm? You yourself commented on your tight budget in that first post. Red flags go up by a lot of us when it sounds like a guy is looking for ways to cut corners in such an important area as control components. Not saying you were thinking like that. It just could have been taken that way. I can only speak for myself, but I never intended to offend by any of my posting. I have learned a wealth of information from other hobbyists on this site. My only desire in posting is to give back where I can.

Excuse me for my short temper. I sometimes get angry and don't realize that you all were just trying to help. My apologies for my snotty attitude and thank you for your comments.

Barry

I did add the second pushrod for the other elevator servo. Yes it will cost a bit more for one more servo but you all were right about the time and money sepnt to build a Giant Scale plane anyway.

Good post Barry and thank you. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] You're making some good decisions. I'm confident it will be a fine airplane.
