i thought i would see who is coming to bomber this year. the gathering of the b17 event is sept 17-19. flying is mostly all week though. bb weber has continued to improve his facility with the loyal work of friends and club members. it is a premier facility. the runway was resurfaced last year and tweaked even further this year. i really look forward to this event each year. it is great to catch up with old friends and make new ones. also, the variety of models that turn up is as good as it gets. hope to see you there. barry

I have plans to be there, it is my first trip to Bomber, and after hearing you tell me how great it is for the past decade, I am looking forward to having a great time!!!

The usual Suspects from the DFW area will be there.
We always try to get there by mid day wednesday to setup and get a litle flying in on Thursday before it gets hectic.

I hope that Boudreaux cooks gumbo again this year, last years was outstanding.

Ditto on the Boudreaux gumbo ! It was GREAT! Space City Warbirds will be there again with many old and many NEW warbirds. Always look forward to this event as it has one of the most professional and organized flight lines I've ever seen ! Lynn Wright and crew are the best !!! The cookouts and partying after the day of flying doesn't get any better than this !! See ya'll there! Paul

zerodave, i was suprised how fast and low the fog moved in. i was doing a quick test flight on the cat that morning. i had cleaned the plugs on the moki and wanted to get in a flight while all was quiet. if i remember right, it was around 7am. it did look cool coming through the fog.

i went to bomber yesterday too. we went out to maiden a couple of aircraft. the field looks like a golf course. freshly mowed everywhere. there were alreday two big motorhomes there. wish i could arrive that early. barry

The way Oli was eyeing your Grumman I thought he was going to take it back home with him. Wont be long and it'll be B-17 weekend.

stein, i did, i did. it was like old times. we were at a car club gathering. he had a new camaro and i was in my ferrari. he looks the same. biff, you coming to bomber? bring bill, we will have him flying rc in no time. barry

Yea, I might be there, but as a spectator though. I have a Sig kit on the table right now and my Eindecker is about 90% framed up.

It be cool getting Bill back into rc. He's a sicko like us!

BB keeps making more and more improvements w the help of everyone
Especially his secret staff work hard to make that place more and more

latest word is bomber is auctioning off a b17. also, i think they are doing a bar b q dinner saturday evening at the field. hope to see everyone there. especially since work has been demanding and i havent been able to make a lot of fly in's this year. barry

Always enjoy bomber field event. The saturday awards feast sounds like a great addition to the event. Like Barry said, people will be there early and fly late. Some all week long

Off to a wedding this weekend and then back for the event.

The field is looking great, almost ready for the event, one more workday on Sunday and then a week of playing. Tents and trailers are already arriving. Mac Hodges and the B29 show will be returning again this year, i always lookforward to his show.

Menu for the Sat. feast Brisket, ribs,chicken,sausage, baked beans, corn of the cob, p salad and fixins bring a chair

Looking forward to seeing everyone and a great event.
