RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Barry,
That's a Moki 2.10. Muffler is concealed and the exhaust will come out of the first two stacks on the port side. Looks GREAT from the port side, but the front and starboard show the big ol' head sticking out. Warbird, Thanks! This is a Yellow Aircraft Spit. Go figure, huh? :D |
RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
I was going to say that, but figured I would ask:D

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Need your opinion Brotherhood.
C.O. and i are about to begin our Top Flite builds. Should we do the build in this thread? Should we start a new thread in Warbirds? Should we start a new thread in Kit Building? Should we start a new thread in Scale? Should we just forget it, it has been done too many times already? :) Gee, maybe this should be a poll...... |
RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Steve I for one would like to see a new thread. With the issue about the fin and the corrections hilighted. John T. Spitfire Brotherhood # 110

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
My two cents.... it's always fun to follow other guy's projects, but keep the string here. I hate having to look around for stuff. Regarding the plane, keep it light, light flies better. A lot better. Too much epoxy is not your friend. Build to fly, don't build to crash. Tony

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Steve,
My vote is to keep your build thread here!!! There maybe other brothers who want to build this bird and plus you may need some help!!! Start the build and have fun!!! Sonny aka jet22b |

It's great to see builds of Spitfires from different manufacturers and by different modelers all in one place.
It helps sort out problems that are encountered and gives support and ideas on mods. What better place than the Spitfire brotherhood to look for Spitfire builds and more? OldScaleGuy, yes it has been covered a few times. But.... Every build is different and something new is discovered. If it helps just one more brother/sister to get his/her plane built, it was worth it. Keep the builds coming. Just my 2c worth (Won't be able to say that for much longer in canuck land.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif) Have the pilot's butt ground down and it fits the cockpit well. I had given some approx. measurements earlier. If you are interested, here are some pics with a ruler for better measure. Andreas Happy building and flying. <br type="_moz" /> |

Hi brothers,
I am finally getting somewhere with my Rotol Prop logo design. I had tried clear water decals....no go on a dark back ground. Tried the white water decals and they seem to work. pic 1: top of picture printer setting -> plain paper high res. bottom of picture printer setting -> glossy photo paper high res. pic 2: close up of glossy photo paper high res. setting. I used a hair drier to warm up the paper before printing on a bubble jet printer. That kept the ink from forming puddles and dry faster. I think it will work. RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
OldScaleGuy,
I would like to have you and C.O. keep your builds here on the Brotherhood thread. I also encourage all makes and model Spitfire builds be shared here. |

Andreas;
The props looks great. I must say you are doing a great job with this plane!!! Your workshop is very busy this winter. In the spring when you do take it to the field, I know your club member will love it!!! Can not wait to see what you do with the canopy!!!:D Sonny aka jet22b |

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Thanks albsurfer,
will see how the Saito 100 will turn the 3 blade. Hopefully it'll have enough power. Yours has a Saito 100 with a 3 blade as well right? My Spit seems to be a wee bit on the heavy side. The maiden will tell. @Ansii, nice Spitfire. I am sure it will look awesome with some Camo painting. Lots of detail there. Happy modding. Andreas |

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
facia,
I'm using a 2 blade APC 14x8. When my first one crashed, I thought about a 3 blade, but then decided since I have 4 of the 14x8 props laying around, I might as well stay with it. Good speed and maneuverability. |
