Using Latex Paint

Yesterday I put a base coat of Latex House Paint on my P-47 Wing. I used the windshield Washer Fluid and Floetrol. I used Benjamine Moore Exterier House Paint. I added about 30% windshield washer fluid and it strayed out beautiful.

QUESTION: When you touch the finish, it feels dry to touch, but has a slight tach feeling to it. It does not leave finger prints or anything like that. Its in my garage and humidity is high.

Is this normal and does it need about a week to be fully cured.

Thanks,

Ed

Using Latex Paint - Help

Ed, Exterior seems to take longer to dry completely and is also compounded with the wind shield wiper fluid. Semi-gloss also takes longer to dry than flat. Make sure it is completely dry before clearcoating it. Also use low tack tape for any masking. Don

Using Latex Paint - Help

The latex housepaint will feel a little soft for a day or so, but it will harden up. In humid weather it will take longer. I usually wait a couple of days before doing any masking or clearcoting.
