Wow! Ive read it all. Fantastic thread on this model, although I may now have to open my wing center section when I get around to building it. Will be no time soon. I've had the kit for a year now but am waiting ti finish other projects. I have searra retracts v4 and they were as much as this kit! Im also going veggy power with a power 160 and 10 cell upfront. Following Sean McHail' mods and put useful weight up front. I feel for Alfiev, all the troubles and money spent to make this bird work for him. Might have packed it in myself. I have one of the original kits . I assuming I need some wing work as well but I did see where guys shot canned foam expansion into open cavities in the wing and produced a rock solid structure.
SO I am not sure I will open the wing or drill access holes for the foam to be inserted and expand.

i put a dle 111 in mine been flying it for years with no issues also has a electric starter on it...flys awesome. has robart electric gear. with smoke. the plane just floats on landing

Anyone still flying this? Just started to build. Had this plane since it came out, finally got it out of the box! Planning on a G38. Still need to track down some retracts and a spinner.

I am and love it. Mine has a DLE 35RA. 18 x 8 Zoar prop. You can get gear from Sierra giant scale gear and belive me. It's the best option by far.
