RCV-90 with 4 BLADE Prop
I am awaiting arrival of a new RCV-90 and want to start searching for a, as close to scale as possible 4 bade prop for a Top Flight P-51 (60 size). I will start with a 18x12 2 blade prop for break0in and 1st flight. What size 4 blade would you reccommend and give me the names of a few prop companies that might be able to supply me with this prop?
Thanks for your help.
Sorry for the double post. I put a post in the warbirds group but revieved no replies.

RE: RCV-90 with 4 BLADE Prop
Hi
I am pleased you have purchased an RCV90SP engine, this will be great in a P-51. In terms of a 4-bladed propeller we recommend a 15.5x12 prop for use with the 90SP. You can obtain one of these from www.apcprop.com.
If you have any other queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards
Laurenne

Dear RCV
I am looking to use your 1.20 engine to turn my 109 composite scale 3 blade set up. The dia of the blades are 22" with an ajustable pitch from 6 to 12 aprox.
Would your engine be a power a 20lbs model with this setup. mounted on a OS 1.08 now. Can turn it on stand, but not more than aprox 3,000 rpm

RE: RCV-90 with 4 BLADE Prop
To be honest, I do not think the 120SP would be able to power a 20lb model with any setup. If it could, performance would be marginal. When performance is marginal it is essential to get the best out of the engine, which would mean you would have to use a 2-bladed propeller because 3-blade propellers are less efficient than 2-blades. Unfortunately a larger engine would be preferable.
Sorry I cannot be of more help.
