Default Which engine?

Hi!
I'm looking to put a RCV 4 stroke in my new VQ Macchi 205. The manufacture recommends a .46 2-stroke or a .70 4stroke. Which of your engines would fit this the best? The plane has a 62" wingspan and will weight in at approx 7lbs.
I love the looks of your engines and I HATE cutting the cowls on my planes, so looking forward to hearing from you so I can make my purchase!
Thanks!

Default RE: Which engine?

Hi Mazer

I would probably go for the RCV60SP or RCV58CD. Both of these should have no problems pulling a 7lb model around the sky.

If you are looking to use 3 or 4bladed props with the model, I would opt for the RCV60SP.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards
Laurenne

Thanks!
Folks have been recommending the .90's for this plane, but they seem awfully large. Maybe I'll try the .60. Got decisions to make!
Cheers!

Hi

We also find that many modellers like to use larger engines than needed. However the kit manufacturers always recommend the largest size engine needed (as they want their planes to perform well), so generally it is an overkill if you exceed the kit manufacturers recommendations.
