Have to give credit where credit is due.

The electric starter that I bought for my sons Volcano quit the other day.
I couldn't figure out wether it was the switch or the motor.

I filled out the warranty info from the website, and found out today that they are replacing the starter.

same has been true in my case.

i had a throttle servo die in my backdraft 3.5. filled out the warrenty form and had a new one at my door in 7 days.

the servo died in my sumo, and both servos died in my friends rs10 XT crawler(maybe we should have waterproofed them before driving in that stream?)
redcat replaced all three servos.

their warrenty service is right up there with the much larger RC companies. and since their products cost less then the big boys, thats really impressive in my book.

yeh, it seems they are out of stock. no due date for more either.
you might get lucky and find one online somewhere. but most redcat dealers are dropshippers(in other words we sell the product then redcat ships it to you)
so, if redcat is out of stock them most dealers are as well.

the volcano epx pro is basically the same truck, with different body-tires-suspension

redcat doesnt have the epx version in stock either. plus i highly reccomend the epx pros. for the extra $60 you get a brushless system and a 2.4ghz radio. you couldnt buy those parts seperate for half that much.

for the extra $10 it is nice. it uses many of the parts from the larger 1/8 scale 8E line, has a ezrun speed control and the included battery is 3800mah which is higher than the one that comes with the epx pros.
