Default redcat racing shockwave

hey guys so i was thinking of getting a gasser, but they are WAAAYYY out of my price range for now. so im thinking of nitro. is the shockwave a good start into nitro. i already have fuel, fuel bottle, and glow plug igniter from my previous nitro (which i failed it because of lack of knowledge.) would this be a good start?

i say redcat is out of stock. some online dealers may have some still, but i doubt it.

the rampages are all nice gassers.

as far as the shockwave, i would reccomend spending the few extra bucks for the tornado S30.

for $40 more than the shockwave, you get a 2speed tranny, a 2.4ghz radio and a larger SH brand motor.

$159.99 shipped is still a really good price for a RTR nitro.

but the 2 speed tranny won't be too much for a beginner?

i dont think so. but if you want to give nitro a try for the sound and enjoyment of messing with a motor for the least amount of $$$ then the shockwave is great.
but for me, i always want speed.

i think the difference in speed is just on the top end. both buggies have about the same exceleration. either buggy will outrun most RTR brushed RC's on a 6cell.

tuning doesnt take long if you do your homework. and breaking-in the motor right is very important. break it in right, and it will tune easy.

one you have a good tune, only tiny adjustments will be needed from one-day to the next. and thats only if the temps are 10degrees or more + or - from the previous time you ran it.
